Easter ' 08

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Will in his cute Easter outfit. We had an appointment for him to get pictures made, but because of a traffic accident that tied up traffic for miles ... we missed the 15 minute late window. ANYway - I'm planning to reschedule and get his pictures made for spring instead. :)

But here is a sampling of the fun he had at Grandma and Grandpa's Easter afternoon. He did pretty good - for the first 3 eggs or so. Why I "stuffed" and "hid" about 20 eggs is beyond me. (The Easter Bunny brought Will some books, stuffed animal and sidewalk chalk to play with, as well as a whole bunch of eggs filled with mini-M&Ms, animal crackers and teddy grahams.)

(Will is cutting so many teeth right now, he is just a continuous faucet of drool lately. So, he usually has a bib on and has frequent outfit changes! :) )

I seriously didn't think Will could be any more attached to his Grandpa, until Grandpa showed Will the "magic" that he can do. The lights in my parents' dining room is on a dimmer switch. Dad would close his hands and made some "magic noises", and Ellis would dim the lights. Then, Dad would open his hands with "magic noises", and Ellis would turn them back on again. The look on Will's face as Grandpa did this over and over again - PRICELESS! (If only I'd gotten video ... it was hilarious!)

Adventures at Day Care

One of the teachers at Will's day care brought her horse by for the kids to see. How cute are these? --

Will's First Egg Hunt

Will was supposed to go to two egg hunts this weekend, but he fell dead asleep for a nap before the church's egg hunt on Saturday, and Ellis and I weren't about to wake him. When he did wake, we did a practice run in the backyard - and let me tell you, this boy had no problem figuring out what to do!

Sunday afternoon, our neighborhood had an Easter Day parade and then an egg hunt for the kids. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of batteries! :( so these are the only pictures we got. But Will was a WILD man at that egg hunt. He is so hard to keep up with! I made the mistake of getting a chocolate chip cookie for him after the hunt. He grabbed that cookie and before you know it, there was soggy cookie and chocolate all over him as he ran back and forth and back and forth in front of everyone. Whew! I think he had a blast ... Mommy and Daddy did too but WOW were we exhausted afterwards.

This kid loves to climb...

His latest escapade (Sunday morning) was turning the laundry basket upside down, climbing on top of it, and standing up. He enjoys standing on toys as well (if they have a base large enough for his feet to fit on). We're going to have to watch this one -- something tells me he'll be climbing on much higher and scarier things as time goes by.

Not really a baby anymore

Look at my big boy sleeping on a mat! at day care. (Daddy snagged these pictures for me because I was dying to see how Will was sleeping.) He now naps an average of 1.5 hours, although yesterday he slept 3 whole hours at naptime! Go Will! (Now, we just need to work on him doing that at home ... maybe I need to pull out a mat?)

(this picture came out a little dark, but he is the one with the little tennis shoes on)
