Mother/Son Dance

In February, right before Valentine's Day, I took Will to our first mother/son dance.  He looked so handsome!  He was very excited about taking me to the dance and was so sweet.  The dance was actually at the same place that Ellis and I had our wedding reception...and I had not been back to that venue since we got married.  Funny how the next time I was there was with my 6 year old son!

Once we got there, things got wild fast!!  Those boys got crazy on the dance floor. The mommies stood by and watched and clapped and took lots of pictures, but even we joined in toward the end.  By the end of the night, Will was exhausted and sweaty - and we both had a great time.

I took videos and hardly any pictures but here are a couple I took:

Will's Birthday Party

Following tradition, Will's "official" birthday party was the second Saturday in January.  Yet again, it was at Monkey Joe's.  He wanted to have it there again, and I couldn't complain because it is so easy on me - nothing to do but bring the birthday boy and the cake.  Although I suspect the venue will (finally) change next year, Will had a wonderful time!

I look at these pictures as I post this 6 months later, and I seriously cannot believe how much he has grown in just 6 months.  How do I have a six year old?!

Will's best friend from his old school.  They grew up together at our church's day care and then went to different schools for kindergarten.  Will was most excited for Landon to come to his birthday party!

Christmas at my Parents

A few days after Christmas, Uncle Steve and Aunt Mary came into town and we celebrated Christmas all over again at my parents house.  We had fun with the kids that morning, but then we got  a babysitter that night and had some "grown-ups only" Christmas time.   It is always so wonderful to see my brother and sister-in-law, and we all miss them after they leave!

Will Turns 6!

(Despite this being posted on June 10 - Will turned 6 on December 27.  I'm catching up...really...slowly but surely!)  Here are some of my favorite pictures from Will's little party at home.
