The "blizzard" of 2010

Snow! And lots of it! The city apparently got the fifth highest snowfall on record, measuring about 8 inches at the airport. The snow rushed in at about 4:30 yesterday and did not let up until after midnight. It rushed out as fast as it got here - it was pretty much all melted by 12:30 today. But, Will had a great time playing in it this morning. I hated he didn't have any gloves, but he would only cry once in a while if his hands got stuck in the snow. Daddy or I would warm them back up and then he was ready for more.

Last night was just beautiful. Everything was solid white within a couple hours:

Will got to play in the snow Friday night with Bapa for a few minutes, but without proper snow gear, he got cold fast in the falling snow. But, after dinner, I introduced him to snow cream - my favorite snow treat as a child. Clean snow, sweetened condensed milk, milk and vanilla all mixed together - Yum!!

This morning, Will enjoyed sliding down his slide (going super fast with the slick surface), "skating" on the patches of ice in the driveway, playing hide and go seek with Mommy, and eating snow (clean! snow).
