Last Tuesday marked my 28th week of pregnancy and the beginning of my third trimester. Months ago, my doctor said that I should expect to cut back on work and other things by 26-27 weeks, so I was anxious to see what would be said at my appointment Friday. Thankfully, everything looks really really really good. We had another growth ultrasound to check on the girls. They both are doing wonderfully, weighing 2lb 7oz and 2lb 8oz!!! My body is also doing a great job keeping them safe and warm.
So, no talk of bed rest or cutting back at work yet. My doctor just strongly suggested I try to take it easy as much as I can. (Easier said than done.) She said the next month would be critical in keeping them inside to continue to develop before they are born. When we talked about work, I told her that, frankly, I probably get more of the rest that she wants me to get at work than I do at home. At work, I sit in a chair all day long - at home, I bend and stoop and reach and clean and take care of a 3 year old. :-) So, for now, all is well!
