Baby Carter

I'm too tired tonight to do a full post, so pictures coming later. But today the doctor ordered that Carter be taken off the CPAP for 2 hours so that I could hold her. For the first time, after her birth almost a week ago, I was finally finally able to hold my darling Carter and look into her sweet little eyes and slowly pat her to sleep. It was wonderful.

Tomorrow, Ellis heads back to work and I will try out being at the NICU all day. (I still can't drive after my c-section.) I think I will enjoy having the whole day to calmly be with my girls, pump breastmilk for them and take it, hopefully, a little easier tomorrow. Although the NICU is a tiring place to be regardless. The days have already gone by so quickly between being a mom to Will, trying to keep my home from going completely upside down, riding back and forth to the NICU, visiting with the girls, talking to doctors, and fitting it all around an every-2-hours pumping schedule. :-)

Y'all have been in my thoughts and prayers every day. I'm amazed you have taken the time to post on all this but I am so glad I can follow along with the girls and their progress. I can't imagine the juggling act you're doing right now or all the different emotions you're feeling. Just focus on you, Will, and the girls right now. I love the updates but that has to be exhausting!

I am so glad to hear things are progressing. I can't wait to meet the girls! Be sure to take care of yourself too, and who cares if your house is a mess right now!!
